It was founded by Dr. Ana Coito (Ph.D.), a neuroscientist and certified nutrition coach. Ana Coito, Ph.D.

Hi! I’m Dr. Ana Coito, the founder of Brain Choices, and I’m very passionate about neuroscience, nutrition, healthy living, motherhood, and nature.

My fascination with the brain started long ago— I’ve always been curious about how our brain works and its incredible influence on who we are. This passion led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, where I explored the complexities of brain function.

After experiencing my own health challenges, I became deeply interested in how lifestyle and nutrition impact not only our physical health but also our brain. I began studying nutrition independently, and the more I learned, the more I realized the profound connection between what we eat and our health. To deepen my knowledge, I completed a CAS in Nutrition at the ETH Zürich and after that I went ahead to study further to become a certified Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach.

When my daughter was born of course I got very interested in how nutrition impacts my child’s brain development. I deeply believe that we, as moms, have the power to shape the health of our future generations – not just through the choices we make for our children, but through what we model and teach them.

Through Brain Choices, I combine my expertise in neuroscience, nutrition, and coaching to provide science-based guidance for optimizing brain health naturally. My mission is to empower you with practical, evidence-backed strategies to boost energy, focus, and overall well-being—for yourself and for your family.

With over 20 scientific publications and a deep commitment to lifelong learning, I want to help you make informed, sustainable choices for a healthier, happier life. Together, we can nurture better brain health for us and future generations.
