I’m Dr. Ana Coito and I’m very passionate about neuroscience and healthy lifestyle, and so in Brain Choices I bring both fields together.

My healthy lifestyle journey started 10 years ago, when I was dealing with some health challenges and needed to change. One of the first things I did was quitting sugar. I read many scientific studies about this topic and eventually became really passionate about nutrition and how it can influence human health.

Going sugar-free helped me improving several health conditions from allergies to mental health problems and fatigue. And I know that quitting (or at least substantially reducing) sugar intake can improve your health in many ways as well.

So, yes, I have been living sugar-free for about 10 years. And I don’t miss it a thing. True story. There are sooo tasty and much healthier alternatives.

I hold a PhD in Neuroscience, a CAS in Nutrition and I’m a certified Nutrition & Lifestyle coach, among other degrees. I’m also the author of over 20 scientific publications.
